At Climartis, it's the people who make the difference. Our experienced team of former managers, startup founders, auditors and technology experts forms a lean holding company, supported by partnerships with companies such as Business Transactions AG, UFE-Consulting and Zluri

Founder, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of Climartis AG. As the initiator and tireless driving force, he is the mind behind the strategy and development of the new group of companies.

Previously, he worked in various roles at Ringier AG from 2000 to 2011, including as CIO and CFO. From 2012 until the end of 2016, he served as Head of Community Services for Rotary International in South Africa, where power outages were a constant companion and the main reason for the later founding of Climartis AG.

From 2017 to 2022, he led the Technology & Ventures division at the Tamedia/TX Group and was a member of the Group Executive Board, as well as a board member of Tamedia, 20 Minuten, Goldbach, and TX Markets.

He has completed management education at various institutions, including St. Gallen Business School, London Business School, and the University of Cape Town in South Africa. In addition to Climartis, Samuel Hügli also serves on the boards of Zattoo, Lend.ch, and Bexio.

Before his management career, he was a startup founder — SMI and Previon — as well as a bestselling author of the insider book on QuarkXPress, which sold 85,000 copies.

As CDO, Marco Di Bernardo is responsible for the digital transformation of Climartis AG, Climartis Services AG and all subsidiaries. His experience as CTO and CPO for products such as 20 Minuten or Blick allows him to establish completely new user journeys and digital marketing strategies for us too, e.g. for new B2C products from Lehmann 2000 AG in Zofingen.

Markus Stümpfig has been Group CFO at Climartis since February 2026. In addition to overall financial responsibility, he also leads HR, IT, and our transformation projects. He brings many years of international industrial experience, including roles at K.R. Pfiffner, Bystronic, Heineken, SIG, and Bosch. Markus combines this broad expertise with strategic foresight and an integrative leadership culture.

Paul Michael Lawrence is the CTO and responsible for the Climartis Cloud tech stack. He has more than 15 years of experience leading international software development teams in e-commerce, entertainment, FinTech and blockchain. We are confident that Climartis, with its experience and deep connections with the tech industry, will pave the way for the use of technology in this sector.
